Mr Dira Thokwane (PhD student at the Tshwane University of Technology) is an academic who is currently employed by the Tshwane University of Technology, South Africa. He is currently the Academic Section Head for the Department of Applied Languages and offers English lectures. He is an experienced academic, with more than 12 years of lecturing exposure, who has worked for various institutions of higher learning including the University of Pretoria, the University of Limpopo, and Orbit FET College in South Africa. Notably, Mr Thokwane is former Fulbright scholar with proven track record of hard work and dedication which saw him rise above the occasion at every task to which he was invited or given. His linguistic interest include grammar, sociolinguistics and error analysis in written texts using collaborative approach. Given the current pandemic challenges, he has taken a lead in teaching using multimodal approach after completing an Instructional Designer Course with Witwatersrand University, South Africa. This has made him the most versatile academic with whom many colleagues and students enjoy working.
