We are thrilled to welcome two outstanding educators to the School of Languages at Tan Tao University:
π¨βπ« Dr. Nguyen Duy Linh
Dr. Linh earned his doctoral degree in English Language Studies from Suranaree University of Technology (Thailand). He has extensive experience teaching Business English and ELT at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels in Vietnam and Thailand. Dr. Linh served as a track director of abstract reviewing for the VietTESOL Convention (2018β2023) and is a reviewer for several Scopus-indexed journals. His academic interests span language teaching and learning, technology-enhanced education, and the integration of soft skills in ELT.
π©βπ« Ms. Ho Thi Hang, M.A. in TESOL
Ms. Hang holds a Masterβs degree in TESOL from Edith Cowan University (Australia) and brings over 7 years of teaching experience in TOEIC, IELTS, and academic English. With expertise in developing learnersβ language proficiency, test-taking strategies, and academic skills, Ms. HαΊ±ng is passionate about applying practical, student-centered approaches to help learners achieve their goals. She has taught a wide range of students in Vietnam and is excited to contribute to the dynamic learning environment at TTU.
π¨βπ« Dr. Nguyen Van Thanh
Dr. Thanh Nguyen is a linguist and educator with over 30 years of experience in language instruction and curriculum development. He earned his Ph.D. in Comparative and Contrastive Linguistics from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam), and also holds an M.A. in Applied Linguistics from La Trobe University (Australia) and an M.A. in Christian Ministry from Shepherds Theological Seminary (USA).
He has taught English and Vietnamese language and culture to diverse learners, including U.S. government personnel and university students, and has lectured at institutions such as UCLA and Seattle University. His publications include The Handbook of Vietnamese Colloquial Words and Phrases and Speaking Vietnamese like a Native, among others.
Currently serving as a Language and Culture Instructor at the U.S. Department of State, Dr. Thanh Nguyen brings to TTU a wealth of expertise, international experience, and a deep commitment to advancing cross-cultural understanding through language education.
π With their rich backgrounds and dedication to language education, Ms. Hang, Dr. Linh and Dr Thanh are valuable additions to our academic community. We look forward to their contributions in enhancing the quality of teaching and research at Tan Tao University.
