As part of its commitment to strengthening international collaboration, enhancing educational quality, and expanding opportunities for learning, research, and career development for students, Tan Tao University (TTU) held a meeting on July 14 with the Korean Language Education Institute in Ho Chi Minh City, an institution under the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Korea. The meeting marked an important milestone in the University's internationalization strategy while opening up promising opportunities for collaboration with the Department of Korean Language under the School of Languages.

Three Key Areas of Cooperation
During the meeting, both parties discussed a wide range of collaborative initiatives aimed at enhancing educational quality and creating an internationally oriented learning environment for students. Three key areas of cooperation were identified:
- Connecting native Korean-speaking faculty members from leading universities in South Korea to teach at TTU.
- Expanding international partnerships between TTU and educational institutions and organizations in South Korea, not only in language education but also across various academic disciplines.
- Co-organizing Korean cultural immersion programs to help students develop their language proficiency through practical and authentic experiences.
In addition, both sides agreed to strengthen the partnership network between Tan Tao University and educational institutions and organizations in South Korea. Beyond supporting the Korean Language program, this collaboration will also foster academic exchange, international cooperation, and learning opportunities across many other academic disciplines offered by the University.
Toward an International Learning Environment
Notably, 2026 marks a significant milestone with the official establishment of the Korean Language Department under the School of Languages at Tan Tao University. The program is designed with an application-oriented approach, integrating language proficiency, specialized knowledge, and modern technologies to meet the evolving demands of the labor market.
In addition to providing a solid foundation in the Korean language, the Korean Language Department is developing specialized tracks in areas such as Korean for Medicine and Nursing, Korean Language Teaching, Korean for Tourism, and High-Quality Translation and Interpretation. The program also incorporates Artificial Intelligence (AI) into teaching and learning to enhance educational effectiveness.
The meeting with the Korean Language Education Institute in Ho Chi Minh City represents an important milestone in the development and internationalization strategy of the School of Languages in particular and Tan Tao University as a whole. The agreed areas of cooperation will not only enhance the quality of the Korean Language program but also create greater opportunities for students to pursue academic exchange, international learning experiences, and professional development in the future.
With its educational philosophy of integrating knowledge, practical skills, technology, and global engagement, the School of Languages – Tan Tao University will continue expanding partnerships with domestic and international institutions, providing students with a modern, multicultural learning environment and a solid foundation to become highly qualified professionals capable of meeting the demands of both the Vietnamese and global labor markets.
