    Dr. Chau Nguyen is the visiting faculty member of Tan Tao University. She teaches Japanese courses as the second foreign language for students of School of Humanities and Languages. She taught English for Foreign Language Centre 11, Ho Chi Minh City University of Education (1992-1999) and for Faculty of Education, Gifu University, Japan (2005- 2007). Her research interests include Natural Language Processing (machine translation) and linguistic comparative studies. She is now teaching Japanese at Department of Oriental Culture and Languages of Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages and Information Technology; Department of Foreign Languages of Nguyen Tat Thanh University; and the Department of Japanese Studies of Ho Chi Minh City University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

    Prior to her teaching Japanese in Vietnam, Dr. Chau lived for more than fourteen years in Japan. She won a scholarship to study in Japan sponsored by Japanese Ministry of Education (Monbusho1998), worked as Foreign Researcher for Research Institute of World Languages RIWL- Osaka University School of Foreign Studies (2007-2008), and was an Associate Professor of Vietnamese Language Department, Osaka University School of Foreign Studies (2008-2013).
