Dr. Nguyen Van Thanh

Dr. Thanh Nguyen is a distinguished linguist and educator with over 30 years of experience in language instruction, curriculum development, and cross-cultural communication. He earned his Ph.D. in Comparative and Contrastive Linguistics, specializing in English and Vietnamese, from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam). His impressive academic background also includes an M.A. in Applied Linguistics from La Trobe University (Australia) and an M.A. in Christian Ministry from Shepherds Theological Seminary (USA).

Throughout his career, Dr. Thanh Nguyen has taught both English and Vietnamese language and culture to a diverse range of learners, including U.S. government personnel, heritage speakers, and university students. He has delivered lectures at esteemed institutions such as UCLA and Seattle University, and previously served as a lecturer at International University in Vietnam.

Currently, he serves as a full-time Language and Culture Instructor at the School of Language Studies, U.S. Department of State. Dr. Thanh Nguyen is the author and co-author of several influential works, including:
